Dyslexia-Friendly Reading Settings

Suggested font, spacing, color, and pacing settings to try in Single Word Reader.

No single layout works for every reader. Single Word Reader includes controls so you can tune the reading surface instead of accepting one fixed design.

Settings to try

  • Use a larger font size before increasing speed.
  • Add a little letter spacing if words feel crowded.
  • Try a soft background instead of pure white.
  • Use phrase mode if single words feel too disconnected.

Keep comprehension first

If you are rereading the same passage several times, slow the reader down. A comfortable pace is more useful than a high number.
